MITS Award 2018

PPL is proud to support the MITS Award in 2018.

Now in its 27th year, the honouree chosen for the 2018 award is one of the most successful and respected talent agents in the music industry, Emma Banks, co-Head of Creative Arts Agency (CAA) London.

The event has been held in the grand surroundings of The Grosvenor House Hotel in London since its creation in 1992, and now attracts more than 1,000 guests each year.

Previous award recipients include the first honouree, John Deacon, CBE, Director General of the British Phonographic Industry; composer and entrepreneur Andrew Lloyd Webber; broadcaster Alan “Fluff” Freeman; producer Sir George Martin; Oscar-winning musician/composer, the late John Barry; the co-founder of Atlantic Records, the late Ahmet Ertegun. Music retail maven Brian McLaughlin; Sir Elton John and his partner in song, Bernie Taupin; talent finder extraordinaire, Rob Dickins CBE; visionary artist Peter Gabriel; legendary broadcaster and star-maker Sir Michael Parkinson; the quintessential impresario Harvey Goldsmith CBE; the Pop Princess Kylie Minogue OBE; Sir Lucian Grainge CBE, one of the industry’s most successful and influential executives; Jonathan Ross OBE, whose programmes have provided hugely influential exposure for new artists, international superstar, Sir Tom Jones; one of our most successful songwriters Gary Barlow OBE; iconic singer, songwriter and philanthropist Annie Lennox OBE; creator of the much-loved Glastonbury Festival, Michael Eavis CBESimon CowellRoger Daltrey CBE, and in 2017 the CEO of Sony Music Entertainment worldwide, Rob Stringer.
